When Work & Life Seem to be Taking you Under

Many people in this world, either in church or out, are finding it hard to pack in all that life throws at us without going under. There is family time, parenting, errands, chores, marriage, having time for friends, seeing family and of course the sometimes stress of work that seems to eat up all your head time with potentially none left over for anyone else.

As someone who has worked in the corporate world, and also owned her own business, I understand and empathize with the stressors that work can bring. I remember being with some 'interesting' bosses who made life very challenging. During this time I would get up very early in the morning to spend time doing warfare with God and pressing into those places within me that would get triggered. It wasn't the easiest time, but it certainly changed my spiritual life for the better. What a win!

Then of course, there is the weaving in of time with children, spouses, friends and family not withstanding all those chores, errands and fun events to do. It can feel a lot.

But God hey?!  In those super busy times of my life, I have sought to seek God in the minute by minute.

How do you do that?
By seeing Him in nature. In the smile of a child. In the person at the grocery store. In the drive to work. In the pondering on a particular verse. In the great conversation with a colleague.

It's by seeking out and using tools - playing music, listening to podcasts or singing in the car (I always looked a bit weird to the driver in the other lane!).

I encourage you to not let go of your most important person in your life... Jesus.
He will sustain you. He will comfort you. He will direct your steps. He will win that project. He will alter your hours. He will give you power to walk through life victorious, empowered and joyful!
