Jesse Skinner
Senior Leader
Jesse first encountered the Holy Spirit while stationed in San Diego, California flying helicopters for the U.S. Navy. This launched his life into an adventure in God. Jesse helped start the San Diego Justice House of Prayer and also lead an equipping ministry out of his house with his wife Jessica. Because of his 9 years leading in the military he has a strong passion to raise up healthy and strong leaders both in and outside the Church. Jesse spent 3 years going through Bethel Church’s School of Supernatural Ministry (BSSM) that included interning for one of the Church Leaders, Steve Backlund.
Jesse has done ministry all over the world leading teams and speaking but finds the most enjoyment from creating powerful communities in our own cities. Healthy organizations are the key to creating healthy and powerful people that will change the world with Love and power of God. Along with leading Presence Church he also is doing work with individuals, teams and organizations around Southern California as an Organizational Health Consultant believing that our own workplaces and organanizations are great places to spread God’s love and transforming power.

Jesse and Jessica Skinner planted Presence Church in 2016 out of a dream to see what would happen if God was allowed to fully be Himself in a church building. They are passionate about building a revival culture that moves in honor and love and is available to the whole family, young and old. That our cities would show the fruit of a healthy and empowered Church - from the pre-schools, to the law firms, to the homeless shelters.
Jesse’s strengths center around empowering all people into whole and emotionally healthy disciples of Jesus. His leadership naturally raises up leaders who take the gospel to their spheres of influence.
From Jesse:
I love worshipping in my car alone.
I love all good food, my favorites include sushi, and ramen. I enjoy being in the ocean whether surfing, spearfishing, or just playing in the waves with my kids. As a family we enjoy adventuring to national/state parks around the country.
