Being truly strong

2 Corinthians 12:9 “But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest on me.”

What does it look like for a person to be truly strong? Does anyone naturally “boast”in their weaknesses?

Weakness is something every person has experienced. Everyone of us was born weak. We know what it feels like and what it means.

It seams to me that humans tend to hide their weaknesses. They cover their imperfections. They hide their weakness and present themselves strong to the world.

Yet the only One who has no weakness - has infinite strength - and never fails - is God. As humans, our weakness isn’t a prophecy about our future. It isn’t a forever identity. It is an opportunity to choose God. It is an opportunity to grow into his likeness by the Spirit.

Don’t shame yourself over your weakness. Turn to God! Let him be your strength! Your weakness is not abnormal, it’s an opportunity to connect and grow with God. His strength is made perfect in weakness.
